Seems like, for what ever reason, perhaps he has multiple versions of Studio One installed on his computer, like I do, but he has changed the name of the app. I have been able to duplicate this.

So don't get too excited yet guys, but know that there's still time to get your feature requests in!!!

Well, I can assure you no one's testing it.

assure or not. I know they stay realy close to the developers.
so you mean this is not a test, this is a release in next time?

Studio One 3 is a ways off so far as I know. And if you look at the the version of Studio in the background, it's the same as ours. So, if that's version 3, then no changes have been made. And would be really bad.

Yes sir! I can. I'm very sure any version 3 would have major changes to the GUI. But, think what you like.

I can name my app/shortcut "Studio One 3" if I want. That don't make it version 3...

1. It will - without any user intervention - install into the same path and overwrite the previous "same major version", like "v2".
2. It can - very easily by simply changing a single letter in the install path - install multiple versions at the same time.

What gets confusing for some people who have multiple versions installed is that their launch icon may only point to one of them, which is also easy enough to get around by just creating distinct launch icons for each version.

But Johhnie is right. You certainly do not have to uninstall any version to install another.

Hope that helps.

Regarding the downgrade. I had to do it once again while fumbling around with the tech support. For those who may have the same problem. I could downgrade without deinstalling 2.5.2 by deleting the S1.exe and then install S1 2.5.0.

Before a major release there is usually a big sale, so don't get all excited before this sale happens.

For me there is. I get dropouts by disabling bands in ProEq since version 2.5.1. I'm in kontakt with. the support since a week now. I made some videos for them and know they gave me some ideas what I could try out. I make some tests today

I just mixed and mastered a 5 song EP and used the Pro EQ up, down and sideways... even found the "De-Esser" under "Misc".
I had no dropouts or problems (see my specs below) while adjusting with song playing. But "Rendering" or "Bouncing" would cause a play-back pause... then it would pick-up again.

My last projects, with exactly 265 plugins (involved are also linear phase ones), about more than 20 vsti and 51 tracks, run smooth and totally stable with 2.5.0. No doprouts with the Pro EQ. Since 2.5.1 I get dropouts through disabling bands with a clear session, just ONE track and a Pro EQ. In the last days I'm talking with a developer from the support not a representative anymore. He says that nothing in these updates is involved that could cause my issues. Though he suggests to test it with disabling the spectrum analyser in Pro EQ. I have to do some testing. Anyway this testing just makes go nuts, I rather go with 2.5.0. DPC latency is an average of 50 with running projects, either does LatencyMon show any issues. Weird stuff...
