I've watched vid tutorials & r4ead the manual on this, but can't seem to get it.

I have 16 trks of audio from old ADAT machines, lined up. Want to redo some midi trks & improve sonically.
It seems that the ADAT tapes STRETCH so that even though they were cut at 144bpm, the audio slowly pulls away from the midi click, as the songs proceeds. The original sync was SMPTE.

Can anyone help w/ a solution that works?

Have you tried these? The second one in the post applies to your situation the best.

Yes, I've seen those. The changes are a gradual developing thing. I must be missing something, Do I have to take it 4 bars at a time? better to timestretch all the trks to the click? I just want the best approach, so it's not so time consuming, if that's possible. I'll try contacting Mr. Petitt.

Great idea. He's way smart.

Only other thing I can think of. Render the midi click to audio (if possible). Detect transients on the click, and drag that to the groove panel in the quantize panel, then quantize all the tracks to that groove?

Otherwise, if all the tracks are lined up to themselves, let it be. mix it old school. If you aren't using tempo synced effects, would it affect anything?

Hmm, per the click, that may be good. Thing is the audio was but to a drum 'machine' & other midi stuff, so need to sync them all up w/ new drums, etc. Man, it will be very cool, if I can do that!
