Why dosent digimax d8 playback my tracks?
I.m using Cubase 7
I have my settings like this:in the sotware of AB 1818 internel clock.
Adat in and out 8x8
optical cabel from DIgi to ab 1818
BNC conncted.
Digimax ext on the frontpanel.
Hardware Controllers: JL Cooper CS-10 Control Surface, Yamaha EZ-EG, Dillion Les Paul style acoustic electric guitar with Roland GK-3 pickup and GI-20 converter.
The Rest: Guitars, Amps, Stompboxes, Mics, Outboard Gear, VST plugins...too much to list!

I think you are asking 2 different questions. The D8 does provide for up to 4 stereo inputs to the daw. You original question is asking about playback from the D8, which would be outputs. The outputs on the D8 are direct line outs from the line inputs. It provides another connection mode from people that can not bring channels in through ADAT.
The D8 is a preamp. It is giving you 8 additional inputs to the daw, but your monitoring outputs are all coming from the 1818
