Hi,

I want introduce myself and say I'm glad I joined this forum. I will be ordering a Presonus studiolive 16 ai next week. I'm looking forward to getting it. Right now I'm using a MOTU 2408 tied into 2 Tascam DA 38's via TDIFF for a total of 24 tracks, all mixed down to a Behringer 24/48 MX8000. I use Sonar X3 Producer and Sibelius 7 and also the last rev of sounddiver to set up synths.

Aside from all of Garritan's GPO, JABB, and COMB software synths, I have a Roland JV 1080, Roland JV 1010, an Alesis QSR, NanoPiano, DM-pro, and a couple of compressors and reverbs and patch bay's.

I just moved to a new home and the thought of rewiring all of it gives me the shakes. That's one of the reasons for getting the Presonus, like I needed an excuse eh? .

I know I'll have a lot of questions later on.

I am a songwriter, jingle writer and composer. I belong to a classical trio of clarinet, trumpet and flute. I do all of the arrangements ie. Mozart, Bach, Haydn etc. I take pdf's of trio's, quartet's, quintet's etc. Scan into Sibelius, shorten and change the keys so listeners really can hear the greats without getting bored.

I have quite a number of jingles, an album. A film score, and one song in a grade B horror movie.

I am retired and a disabled software engineer that worked for Bell Labs to many new start-ups. My last gig was Vonage. Now I just enjoy life write and play all the time. Enough babbling for now. Thanks for listening,
