Hey I've got a few questions from you pro's out there I'm new to recording I bought the PreSonus AudioBox 22VSL and Tannoy 501A monitors for recording guitar rhythm and leads. I'm using Studio One Artist 2. for my software that came with the AudioBox This thing sat for over a year because it seemed like a pain in the ass to set up Question one is it any good? Right now I am able to record and adding some effects but when I go to make a wave file I'm getting this popping or crackling sound. Using a window 7 PC I've been checking to make sure I don't over load the signal What am I doing wrong besides being totally new to recording. Thanks for the support I'm sure I will have lots of questions

If you have not already done so please register your hardware and software. This will allow you to post in the Studio One forums.
Also if you have not done so you need to optimize your pc for audio production:

Once you have done that, you may find these videos useful:

Using Windows 7 and the Personus audiobox 22vsl I'm getting a delay when I play my guitar through my monitors could it be my settings? Note this is a new song set up My current settings for device are as post below.

I am totally new to recording so any help would be great.

My set up is AudioBox 22VSL
Device Block Size = 2048 samples
Internal Block size = 2048 samples checked locked
process precision = single ( 32 bit )
enable multi processing is checked
use cpu three boxes checked
input latency is 50,43 ms/2224 samples
output latency 62,45 ms/2754 samples
sample rate 44.1 kHz
bit depth is 32

Am I good? Thanks for the support.

Try reducing your buffer/block size. If you can operate at 32-128 range usually most people find the amount of delay to be withing tolerable limits.

Once it's open in the system tray you must open and close it from there.
