First of all: I'm real newbie if it comes to recording and still have a lot to learn...
I bought a new FireStudio Project and later I picked up a second hand FireStudio 2626. I daisy changed them and they appear to work ok. The DAW I use is Reaper.
When I do some test recording my drumkit I noticed that the waveforms of the tracks are kinda flat. I turned the input on the FireStudio's up till the point they almost start clipping, but the waveforms are still flat.
Even though the waveforms are flat, the recorded tracks are also at the edge of clipping. Does anyone has an idea what I'm doing wrong? All suggestions are appreciated!

Not sure that you are doing anything wrong. I'm not familiar with Reaper, but maybe its just a gui issue? When you record, what level do your input meters read? What is the level of the tracks already recorded on the output meters?
S1 give users the ability to resize the waveform, not sure if Reaper offers the same.

I agree.......sounds like he needs to resize his GUI. Cubase also allows this.....pretty basic feature. I would be surprised if
Reaper doesn't allow it also.....this sounds like a question for the Cockos forums:

The Rest: Guitars, Amps, Stompboxes, Mics, Outboard Gear, VST plugins...too much to list!
