Hello StudioLive Ai Mixer Series Customers,
We have a big firmware update for the StudioLive 32Ai, 24Ai and 16Ai Mixer Series. This update is strongly recommended that resolves some issues from our initial release of the products.
There are no updates for Universal Control Ai, Capture, StudioLive Remote Ai or Q-Mix Ai. This is only for the console(s) themselves.
You can obtain the firmware update in your registered product listing inside your http://my.presonus.com account.

StudioLive AI mixer series 1.0.3 Maintenance Update Release Notes
Firmware and build information:
Firmware Version: 1.0.5124
Fixed In This Firmware Release:
* 2284: Channels are always Pre to DAW
All channels record to the DAW Pre Fat Channel. Post DSP recording is disabled to
support lower latency. Firmware 1.0.5124 enables this feature. All input channels can now
be recorded pre or post DSP.
* 2277: DSP Overrun Distortion at 48kHz
Rare possibility of digital distortion at 48kHz under heavy processing. Firmware 1.0.5124
resolves this issue.
* 2650: Linked Auxes with even as master have incorrect permissions pairs When a linked Aux pair is created with the even numbered Aux as the Master, the Aux pair
numbers appear incorrectly in the iOS Setup Page on the mixer. Firmware 1.0.5124
resolves this issue.
* 2733: Stereo GEQ only applied to left side until toggled
GEQ only affects the left side of the linked pair after performing a firmware update to any AI
mixer and engaging the GEQ for Mains and all linked auxes. By default the “Stereo” field for
the Main GEQ is set to on. Note: this only occurs after a firmware update. To correct the
issue toggle the Stereo field off and back on. Firmware 1.0.5124 resolves this issue.
* 2759: Solo mode setting not saved on reboot
If the Solo Mode of any AI mixer is changed from Latch to Radio or CR Mode and the user
power cycles the mixer, the Solo Mode is set back to Latch when the mixer powers back
on.Firmware 1.0.5124 resolves this issue.
* 2770: Mute Group ALL OFF turns on Talkback
Pressing the All Off mute group button will turn on Talkback to any assigned buses, but
without lighting up the Talkback button. You must then toggle the Talkback button on and
then off to correct the issue and disable Talkback. Firmware 1.0.5124 resolves this issue.
* 2789: Low frequency harmonic noise on GEQ
When any GEQ adjustment is made there is a slight noise introduced that is directly
related to frequency of that GEQ band. The noise is a potential problem particularly in the
20250 Hz bands. Firmware 1.0.5124 resolves this issue.
* 2798: Corrupt Aux Mix data prevents remote app connection ? Under certain circumstances, the mixer’s Aux mix data can become corrupted and subsequently cause connection issues with the AI remote control applications. Firmware
1.0.5124 resolves this issue.
* 2825: Mute Group store corruption
Under certain circumstances, Mute Groups can become corrupted, resulting in incorrectly
blinking mute group buttons and broken mute group functionality. Firmware 1.0.5124
resolves this issue.
StudioLive AI Mixer Series Firmware Known Issues: (To be addressed in a future maintenance release)
* 2420: Pop from outputs upon boot up
When the mixer is powered on, there is a relatively loud audible pop when the mixer fully
boots. The pop is seen visually in the meters and is heard through the mains. The problem
is most apparent if channels are unmuted and the channel and main faders are up. Having
all faders down minimizes the problem but does not eliminate it entirely.
* WORKAROUND: Follow P.A. best practice guidelines. Power on the mixer first and allow it
to fully boot before powering on amps and speakers.
* 2526: When in fader locate, the mixer does not update fader locate status
When you move a fader in VSLAI or SL RemoteAI with the Default to Fader Locate option
enabled, the mixer goes into Fader locate mode. The first fader moved will correctly indicate
on the mixer’s Fat Channel LED meters which direction and how far the physical fader must
move to match the digital position, but all subsequent faders moved in VSL/SL Remote
while in fader locate mode are not being updated visually on the mixer.
* WORKAROUND: Toggle the "Locate" button off then back on to see adjustments.
* 2663: Mixer can potentially be connected to two different networks
When the mixer has both the wifi dongle in and the ethernet cable connected, both
interfaces are active simultaneously and both can potentially connect to a network.
* WORKAROUND: Use one network connection method, either wifi or ethernet, and to boot
the mixer with the connection you plan to use.
* 2671: No right input from Aux In A/B when assigned to subgroups
When the Aux in A/B channels are assigned to either a mono subgroup or a pair of linked
subgroups, only the left input is audible.
* 2748: FX buses set to Pre1 or Pre2 not affected by Global Aux Mute setting
When an FX bus is set to Pre1 or Pre2, the channel mute will not mute the channel send to
the FX bus, regardless of the Global Aux Mute setting.
* WORKAROUND: Use the default POST setting for FX buses AD
* 2778: Stereo Effects sent to Linked Auxes not heard in Stereo
When a stereo effect (Stereo Delay, Ping Pong Delay, etc.) is routed to a stereo Aux mix
(i.e. a pair of linked Auxes), the effect is not heard in stereo.
* 2779: Lockout Mode not Retained After Reboot
If an AI mixer is in Lockout Mode, it does not retain it's Locked state after reboot.
* 2795: AI mixers lose autosaved state and revert to default settings (zero out)
Some users have seen AI mixers randomly losing their autosaved state and reverting to the
default settings after a power cycle. It does not affect Scene or Preset memory. It only
affects the last state of the mixer before powering off.
* 2799: Sub Out Delay applies to Subgroup assign to Main bus as well
When a delay time it set for a Subgroup output, it is applying the delay not only to the
analog output, but also to the subgroup signal being sent to the main bus when the
subgroup is assigned there.
* 2828: Loading a PINGPONG delay preset corrupts other delay presets
Loading a PINGPONG delay preset or FX Type will result in a malfunction where if you
subsequently load any other FX Type (MONO, FILTER, or STEREO) the audible delay time
of that preset is wrong, it does not correspond to the set value, and the preset sounds
different than it normally would. It also introduces a strange interaction between FX C and D
if a STEREO FX Type or preset is loaded on both.
