Not impressed

First of all - I'm having to post here because I am not allowed to post in the other forums . I assume this is because I have no products registered.

I've been trying Studio 1 and find it has a myriad of excellent features and editing facilities

but I cannot consider using it because of (so far) two missing functions

Firstly - despite various ways of editing note velocity - there is no way of doing this simply using the keyboard

secondly - again with note editing - there is NO LEGATO FUNCTION

both of these factors I find to be ridiculous - If this program is designed by musicians then I can only assume they have never tried to use it for actual project work

apart from this there is the usual overall policy - as found in most software nowadays - of basing everything around using the mouse - everything is "click this" and "click that" - and although there are many keyboard commands - there are always some missing - often important ones

I hate using the mouse - and years of having to use it have caused all the usual pains

IMO software should be capable of being either 100% keyboard driven or 100% mouse driven -( in the latter case I would not even consider using that product )

I am not allowed to contact Presonus directly - so hopefully the powers that be may chance upon these comments

and apparently you hate the manuals as well...

great news - I have read the manual thoroughly (or so I thought) - please explain how to me how to do these things

for the legato look at the picture

for the velocities you can create a macro for vel + and vel - and assign them to two key commands.

Thankyou - I couldn't find a manual on your manual download page (only addendum) - then found a link in a post for one
This is dated Aug 2013

There is no mention of either the macro or legato functions in this

Also I note the latest versions do not support Windows XP - so it's a no go for me anyway

even Microsoft has stopped supporting XP...anyway good luck whatever DAW you will choose.

BTW....the Manual is found under the Help menu on the Toolbar.
