I am brand new to the Presonus community, and not so happy with how things look. I mean you folks in the Community seem great, helpful and quite neighborly, and even when some knucklehead either unwittingly or deliberately posts an inappropriate response or post, the response is (usually) direct, tactful and conciliatory. I could learn a lot from you.
I bought the Audiobox USB on Wednesday, April 23, 2014. I tried to install it on April 25. I experienced the "unknown device" issue, filed a service request and now await some time after 10:00 a.m. Monday, April 28, for someone in customer service to serve their sorely disaffected new customer.
I will not go into a lot of my background. That is available at My Bio. I have been writing a lot of music since 2002. If I had the time to do it, I would probably have a book of a few hundred original pieces, maybe more. Since 2009, I have had to (try to ) fix my focus on first an undergraduate degree in music (theory & analysis) at Rutgers Newark campus, which was accomplished May, 2013, and on the pursuit of a graduate degree in the Jazz History and Research M.A. program at Rutgers Graduate School, Newark. This will be completed in either 2015 or 2016.
Why did I buy the AudioBox USB? I have decided that this is the year that I release my premiere CD. Caleb, a sales associate in the Paramus, NJ, Sam Ash Music store enthusiastically recommended it from experience. I want to be able to add my sax and percussion tracks to some songs at home. For instance, I have a project coming up in which I want to use a song I wrote for my beautiful Bride of 32 years. I think it would be wonderful if it included the sax lead. I will see Caleb again this week at the Wednesday night Open Mic (most Sam Ash stores are doing this).. Hopefully, I will be able to tell him that after some help the Audiobox USB turned out to be all he said and more.
"Oh - I hope and pray that I will, but today I'm not sure that I will." (from" Schoolhouse Rock")
I hope to be able to contribute in some way to the pool of knowledge and experience here. I certainly expect to benefit from it.
Y'all be good now.
Ciao!
