Skinny Jeans was recorded (very badly) in the north east of England in a bedroom. We only had time to record a lead vocal for this song and since then I have returned to London. I got loads of crazy harmonies and background vocals to go in on this whenever I can get Chris (the singer) down to London and into my new studio.
As for Windows, that's what Jack asked for, kind of minimal house. To be honest with you my friend, it's not my kind of music either. But I like how the drop catches everyone off guard.
Thanks alot for the feedback man, I really appreciate it!
Skinny Jeans is badass! Seriously, awesome work! Loving the crazy punchy low-end drums. The only suggestions I can think of are, save that ultra punchy low end for the choruses. Otherwise, the ear easily tires of it.
Also, can't help feeling the chorus should sound a little bigger, maybe some hard synths with a nice stereo spread.

Still, really amazing work, man!
Thanks man and thanks for your suggestion of saving the low end for the chorus, i never though of that, I'll try it in future productions. The chorus should definately sound 'bigger'. I wanted to do it with vocals, but Chris (the guy singing) lives 250 miles away and we didn't have enough time to record any background vocals or harmonies unfortunately.
Thanks for the feedback though, really appreciate it man!
Skinny Jeans sounds nice. Like the production on it. Nice balance. Drums sound punchy and everything has good clarity and sits well in the mix. My only suggestion, the vocal has some sibilance, could use a deesser or maybe some subtractive eq, other than sounds really good.
