One feature that a number of my Studio One user colleagues has discussed and is requesting is the ability to Audition EQ Bands.
We would like to be able to click on an EQ band in Pro EQ and be able to listen to that band only and what that band is doing.
If you like to put it another way a EQ Band solo function.
Check Fabfilter Pro-Q . It has a similar feature as an example. Other EQ's do similar.
Other nice features for Pro EQ that we would like included are::
- Unlimited bands (or a much larger realistic number say 20 or something) ,
- Mid-Side Processing options,
- and the ability to see both post and pre EQ "graphs" over laid on the Analyser so we can see what the eq is actually doing and compare it visually to what it was like before an EQ action.
- Linear Phase Mode EQing..
- side-chaining certain frequencies within the EQ , This would mean sending lets say the kick's signal to the "base- line" EQ frequency that you select and the EQ automatically ducks those frequencies (and only those selected) whenever the kick is playing,
It would be great. It would be kinda revolutionary and add some real Studio One DAWSOMENESS!!
Again maybe check FabFilter for these as it and other EQ's have these features.

I believe you can solo the bands of the multi-band compressor, so this sounds like a good extension of that. Would really help narrow the band to the frequencies you actually want to change...

a big up for this request.
I hope this will be done in studio one V3. I will wait till than to decide if i buy pro-Q or i just upgrade if this feature will be there.
Maybe also an idea to add/delete bands? so you have a cleaner view if you just cut a bit and you can add bands to make more changes. (maybe even an idea to add the possibility to add virtual unlimited bands?)

Pro EQ definitely needs some work. I still think it is wonky in the High Quality mode and doesnt sound right (you can search for the threads about the issue). I dont use it much anymore with Fabfilter and Alloy 2 around.

Just added an additional enhancement feature to the main subject...
- side-chaining certain frequencies within the EQ , This would mean sending lets say the kick's signal to the "base- line" EQ frequency that you select and the EQ automatically ducks those frequencies (and only those selected) whenever the kick is playing.
That would be some real Studio One Dawsomeness!!!

+!
Definitely a good idea. i'd also plump for mid/side and 18db/oct LP/HP filter curves.
