firewire to thunderbolt

has any one had a problem connecting their firestudio project interface to an iMac using the firewire to thunderbolt adaptor?
my interface is not connecting and flashes blue to red!!! not sure if its the adaptor not working or..............????

any ideas?

It worked for my StudioLive and that's a larger "FireStudio" device.

AudioBox 22 VSL; BlueTube DP V2; FaderPort; Monitor Station; FireStudio Project (x2)
Studio One 2 Pro 2.6.2 (64 bit)
I use Gobbler to back up my projects.

Make sure you manually install the latest driver from your product page after you register it.
