Like the subject says, the AB USB isn't being recognized by Windows 8.1
I've uninstalled and reinstalled, checked every single usb port and it still will not allow me to install the drivers because I have it plugged in, but Windows won't recognize it
Help?

Well, most of that stuff, I already have figured out, I'm not sure what is going on, but that list didn't really help. I've already tried a lot of things.

Does your PC have USB 2 ports or USB 3?

There should be instructions to uninstall the driver. Follow those directions and reinstall. Make sure you are connected to the 2.0 port. Not all 3.0 USB ports are backward compatible.

Not all 3.0 USB ports are backward compatible.


Make that MOST 3.0 USB ports are NOT backward compatible.
