Funkifize, I just sent you a PM.

In the future, the PreSonus forum is generally for end users to collaborate and help each other. PreSonus Technical Support Reps generally prioritize their work by first answering phone calls and tech support tickets, then they look at the forum.

The best way to get tech support from PreSonus is to submit a tech support request or to call us.

Here's a link to how to get in touch with tech support:

Yeah, what's up with the forum anyway? When it switched over to new software a few months back there were a number of comments about things we missed about the previous version and we thought we were being listened to. I still miss:
  • Being able to configure the displayed date/time to adjust to my local time zone and get it into US standard format of Day/Month/Year- I have to figure out what time a message was posted to see if I've read it before.

  • The ability to jump to the first unread message in a thread. Some of these are getting pretty long

  • The ability to return to the thread where I left off rather than to the message I just posted. I might have to back up several messages.

  • Not losing half my screen to the group photo until I scroll down

  • Choice of a more easily readable color scheme

  • Putting the "Submit" button at the bottom of the message I've just written, not a full screen below, filled with a lot of blank space other than the "options" sidebar (took me a while to figure out that those were what the "options" were) - at least that's how it looks in three different installations of Firefox and one of Internet Explorer

  • "List" code that works like on other forums.

  • The ability to edit my posts immediately after posting and seeing a typo without the "lasted edited" tag being added

  • Probably some other things, too.

  • No blank space here with Safari. The Submit button is directly below the Options list.

  • When you edit a post by double clicking on it the "last edited" tag won't be added.

To which "this" are you referring? Everything I mentioned happens with Firefox.

This is a screen shot of the blank space I'm talking about

Hmm, I tried this again and obviously it doesn't work -- after reloading the page the tag appears.
    Sorry

    Sorry

I guess you can't hide your mistakes.

I figured out what was causing that large blank space that I see above the "Preview/Submit" buttons. I keep my browser set with a minimum text size larger than "none" so I can read the small print on some web sites. Apparently the way that part of the page is laid out, because of the expanded text size that I use, everything gets pushed over to the right margin so text that should be on a single line gets wrapped to fit in the available space. When I change back to the standard settings, the "options" become neatly lined up in a column, one line for each, with check boxes. But I'd rather read the text easier and complain about non-standard web page graphic programming.

So this problem is one of my own making, but there's still lots to complain about.

I've found more web sites that make it necessary (rather than just annoying) to switch back to text size controlled by the web page in order to see parts of a site. Grrrrrrrr

Ok forum techs/mods, this is still not working.

I'm trying to change my forum user profile email so all my forum "new post, PM, etc" alerts arrive at my new email address.

In the forums "My Profile" I notice in the change password/email area you have created a link to the hardware/software registration.

I had actually ALREADY updated my info in the "Update Customer Profile" section of my Account.

In fact; every time I open that page, my new email address is there but my postal address vanishes and my date of birth gets scrambled.

Yet I am still getting the alert emails in my old email address, nothing in my new one.

I just opened "My Profile" in the forum and told it to display my email address in my posts. Sure enough it comes up with my old email address.

Why is it so complex/impossible to simply change my account details?
