Delay between playing note and hearing it.

Hello, I'm new to DAW recording; need some help.

Here's what I did: Created a new song in the Audiobox format. Armed Track 1 to record. Plugged guitar into track 1, and set appropriate levels on the box.

I started playing and there is a delay between the note struck and note heard.Same thing happens when I create a song in "Empty Song" format.

What should I do? Thanks for any and all help!!

Go into Preferences and see what your device block size is set to. I need mine lower than 64 or I get latency like you're describing. Then I bump it up to 1024 when I'm mixing down with lots of plugins running.

Here's my situation now...

If I go to STUDIO ONE > OPTIONS > AUDIO SETUP, and set it to Windows Audio, the delay problem goes away. but then I can't hear my recorded tracks.

If i set Audio Setup to Audiovox USB, I can hear tracks but the delay remains. Any suggestions?

You're audiobox has a "Mix" knob...it must be properly adjusted between inputs and playback. Try adjusting that
and see if that doesn't help. Also have a look at this....it may help you understand what's going on with regards
