As the title says, I'm wanting to get playback from studio one into the subgroup mixes or aux mixes along with anything that's coming through the board, so during sessions I can run a click if I need to. Can anyone explain how to do this?

Hey Adam

I only have the non AI heheh but asuming the VSL looks something like it
on the top (almost) left side of VSL there is a setup button on mine - on there it lets me set the 'spare' channels to what you like
and see which channels they are - IF it's the same , it sould be pretty much easy when you find it there
If it's anything like mine I think that's where you would look for it =)

I've got the router on there, but I'm not sure how to assign which aux to where in order to get studio one playback through the subgroup mix input

I typically assign my DAW output to channels 25-26 (on my SL 24), these are mapped to the 2 Track In on the SL24. I'm not sure which channels those would be on the 32 (33 and 34 maybe). Anyway on the mixer choose which AUX(s) you want to route the 2 Track In to. Hit the Mix Button twice for the AUX. Channel 2 pot now allows you to dial in the amount of the TapeIn you want in the mix. See pg. 39 in the manual and read about Aux Flip Mode.

Hope That Helps

That was incredibly helpful, thanks! Now the only problem I have is to get that in stereo. Is that possible at all? I'm setting it up for headphone monitoring so as it is, it's only coming out of the left channel. It's not even summing the audio to mono.

UPDATE: I figured it out. I just plugged aux 1&2 into the stereo in to my headphone amp. Now I either need to buy the Presonus headphone rack that has 6 discreet channels for stereo, or buy 8 single channel headphone amps. Any suggestions?
