Is There Any Way to Duplicate a Track with the Automation Included?

Or edit automation on 2 tracks simultaneously? I just manually De-Essed a track with volume automation and I'm thinking I might want to double it and pan in certain sections. I really don't want to have to adjust volume automation again on the same track. I am fairly new to Studio One so thanks in advance!

Not possible atm.

In your particular case, duplicate the track, expose the volume automation envelope on the duplicate and copy / paste the volume automation from the other track.

P.S. Clip gain might work better in general than volume automation for de-essing.

Thanks for the reply! Can you tell me where I actually click to copy the volume automation? I tried clicking on the colored automation line on the original track and 'copy' is greyed out.

PS - I didn't know there was a difference between automating the clip/gain and volume levels so I'll try that as well.

Theres a couple of different ways. Ctrl drag range select or marquee select nodes, or (I think) shift + double click to select all nodes in an automation lane, and copy. The most important part is the pasting though, make sure you "Paste at Original Location" on the other automation track so it all lands at the correct place.

Yeah. It's much faster to use clip gain for de-essing. it's obviously a bit of a tedious manual job either way but if you're going to do it manually, using clip gain is probably the best approach.

CTRL+ drag (range select) around the sibilance, split it, reduce it Xdb with the gain handle, hit X to crossfade the split to avoid any clicks from the edit.

Hope that helps.

Yeah, it should. Unfortunately ... it doesn't duplicate automation yet.

Wow...

I didn't know Automation wasn't copied along with the track.

Maybe I've not noticed since I automate after I've done about 2/3 or 3/4 of the song.
I'd assume it doesn't matter whether it's Audio or Instrument?

but atleast a option to be able to copy/paste the automation would indeed be handy
