Is anyone out there running Studio One in Mavericks betas? I have come across some weird issues. Can't really click on much in the interface and the save dialog boxes never disappear. Maybe I'll just have to wait until the official launch of Mavericks for Presonus to release an update, but was just wondering if anyone else has issues here. Thanks.

Apple released the GM of Mavericks tonight and Presonus is still saying that there are no known issues. Guess well find out in a few weeks.

If you depend on this stuff, just wait until it is approved for use by PreSonus. You will never be sorry you waited until things were proven trustworthy and stable. You may very well be very sorry if you try to push the envelope. Things get broken with OS updates all of the time. You will only have yourself to blame if something goes wrong. Can you afford down time?

If you are one who just can wait for the "latest and greatest," I suggest you make a bootable clone your startup drive before doing the update so that you have a way to revert in the event of problems -- otherwise, there is usually no way to downgrade the OS without a complete re-install of everything: OS, apps. the works. PITA. Look before you leap -- just sayin'.

Studio One 2.6.0 Build 24200 (which is the latest release) is indeed broken on Mac OS X (10.9) Mavericks. Many problems with the interface have surfaced including some of the following:

Virtual Instruments and Effects no longer show their interfaces reliably - sometimes they show but do not respond to clicking
Dialog boxes (Yes, Ok, Cancel, etc.) remain on the screen and cannot be dismissed
Right-clicking no longer appears to work throughout most of the environment
Putting Studio One into full screen mode hides the interface and only shows the "container"

I can't really evaluate the functionality of Studio One 2 because the user interface issues render the software unusable.

I'm fully aware of the potential for beta software to break applications and have no trouble installing the beta software because I'm a Mac developer but others may want to wait until Presonus has released an update thoroughly tested on Mavericks...

We are aware there are some issues. We're working to resolve.

For those that see the issues with plugins not showing or the dialog box not going away, do you have Logic X installed?

Updated to Mavericks yesterday, had the plugin/dialog bug.
So I installed Logic X (bought it some time ago to find out it sucks compared to Studio One)... checked again, issues still there. Logic X works fine with all my plugins.

Yes, I do have Logic Pro X installed... We install a number of DAWs here for compatibility testing purposes. If you think removing it will resolve the issue, then I'm happy to remove it... Let me know...

I never upgrade Operating Systems unless I have to.

I'm still running Win7 and I'm still running a previous version of OSX, I forget which one.

If music is your main thing, I wouldn't bother w/ OS upgrades unless necessary. A good rule of thumb is to stay 2 years behind technology. Look at how long it took DAW and Plugin people to catch up with 64bit (I'm looking at you Ableton Live).
