Now how am I supposed to come up with $2,000? Selling my 16.4.2 won't get me very far now that this was uncovered...

16.0.2 will not be AI. $999
16.4.2 AI $1999
24.4.2 AI $2999
32.4.2 AI $3999
All AI's have the same processing. Some of it is only available through VSL and SL-remote for the 16.4.2 due to knob limitations.

I assume It's probably gonna be a long time before they are actually available. seeing as the 32 is still not available and it's been announced for a long time now.
Perhaps I will buy another regular one when they get real cheep... Still the best bang for the buck without the extra AI stuff.

Get 'em while you can. Or wait for people to trade up and buy their used ones...

I'm a little bummed that they didn't announce anything new at the second LiveStream event. So the Guitar Center one was just a 2 hour advance preview of the normal one. Silly...

Me too... especially because they said this about the GC show...
Just watched PreSonus LIVE. Waay cool, that new series of SL mixers. I have to ask how much of the new features will port to the pre-AI mixers:
- Soft take-over on faders (and pots?)
- Q on the 16.4.2 PEQs
- Track naming across platforms (mixer, VSL, QMix)
- Scenes stored with Capture sessions
- FAT channel insert in S1
So this is me asking
Oh, and I couldn't help noticing that channels on the 32.4.2AI were running a lot hotter than where you have to be with the pre-AI mixers!
And for those asking: no motorized faders.

Considering I've had mine almost 2 years without a single problem, I'm not sure that's an issue for me...
