Actually it looks very good (and the price is right!)

Now S1 has real competitor .

Certainly can't see anything that would lure Mac studio one users to it. With Flex we've got melodyne. We've got quick swipe comp. There's nothing that looks unique.

I like the new interface, but since diving in 100% with S1 and ditching Logic 2 years ago, really not feeling the pull of the new version like I thought I might. Oh well, nice to have options, and I'm sure I'll have to use it eventually for some client work.

It's not even new code ;/ A lot of new instruments and loops but they kept a lot of old stuff like ultrabeat which is an awful interface and ESX24 is still the same. I'm glad I moved to studio one.

Looks like they just caught up to the rest of the DAWs, nothing much really to surpass them.

Unless audio editing in the arrange has been improved, I wouldn't even say they've caught up.

Looks pretty nice to me, mmv.

It never fails, whenever a new product is released many people are disappointed. To think Logic would be any different would be .... delusional. The Gearslutz bashers were (for months) saying there wouldn't be a new Logic, Apple wasn't working on it, they were certain of that, and now that there is a new product, they're bashing it.

Pretty predictable.

Expect the same with S1 2.6 & 3.0, and 4.0 etc, etc.

Let's see... it costs less than Studio One, comes with more value (effects, instruments, audio loops), plus: an arpeggiator, midi FX, tape-stop FX, surround capability, music notation, audio scrubbing, etc.

I'm not advocating people abandon Studio One, but you have to admit that it's more than worth the $199 price of admission. I've spent more than that on ONE plug-in!

Not really. There is no Logic X for PC. So Logic X failed right there and is not a "real" competitor.

Actually, leaves S1 behind in terms of stability, features, price and looks. Real music making software, not dysfunctional beta version style software that S1 currently is.
