I didn't see any announcement from Presonus yet, but the new 1.2.2 beta driver is out.
If you are on a Mac, and are experiencing pops and clicks.... two words: get it!
I had all the problems trying to record anything without pops or clicks and this version finally did it.
There's still an issue with ADAT, but for straight up preamp recordings, this is working very nicely on my MBP late 2009, Core2Duo.
Which should give the Windows users with the same problems some hope that a solution is on the way as well.
MacBookPro 15" late 2009, 2.4mHz, 8G RAM
OS X 10.9, 10.8, 10.7
Presonus 1818vsl (1.2.2 not beta anymore but still sketchy),
Yamaha mixer
Art USB Dual Pre
Samson, Blue mics
Logic Pro, Reaper, S1 Pro (can't use it in my case because of a lack in MIDI support)
Yamaha DXT700
Superior Drummer, Addictive Drums, Drumic'a!
I agree -- GET IT! This one makes the 1818/VSL do everything it is supposed to do, without artifacts (on Mac -- at least on my two systems, anyhow -- and I was having significant problems when using VSL before this).

Where is the download link to get this update for the Audiobox USB? I keep getting tiny cracks/pops in my recordings that aren't heard when there are many tracks, but if I am just doing a solo guitar track they are clearly present.

Okay, so then how do I resolve getting rid of these random little clicks/pops from my audio recordings? It just started to randomly happen this past month, and I have replaced almost everything in my computer (new SSD drive, more RAM, most updated MAC OS system, etc), and yet i still have these clicks and pops. I do not even need to record anything; if I do input monitoring i will hear these little pops every once in a while come in and out. It has nothing to do with the buffer size, as it will happen at any setting. Any help is greatly appreciated.

No I'm not a freaking pilot!! The Air Force won't let me have a suit with a zipper...or sometimes shoestrings.
My advice and suggestions should never be considered advice or suggestions. These are mostly insane ramblings of a poor aircraft mechanic who can, strangely enough, still hear.

Replaced my M-Audio FastTrack Pro with an 1818VSL two weeks ago. Had high expectations for the new unit, but the pops and clicks were driving me crazy. The old 'cheap' interface was quieter than the new more expensive one. I played with buffer sizes and all of the other "recommended" settings and still had pops & clicks. I was ready to send it back to Sweetwater for a refund/replacement. As a last resort, I downloaded the Beta 1.2.2. This upgrade made a huge difference, no more annoying background noises in my recordings.
