This is a request for a step editor in piano roll editor of studio one . Are you looking at implementing one in the future? driving me nuts as im used to logic audio which lets me step in my notes using keyboard. stepping in with mouse is tedious.
Yes, thats what we want! Pressing the step button which enables the external midi keyboard to step in notes of what ever note quantization/note length that is selected! so selecting 16note length @ 16 note quantization lets you step in a 16th note sequence
If you add to that a key so you can make a "silence" of the equivalent value then I'm in this request It would be cool to be composing like this and then hiting space to advance, or an arrow xD whatever fits best
Another one who would love to see this implememted.
I used this function in Ableton and thought it was great.
I have been playing keyboards for years, and yet I still found it quicker at times to use the step recorder.
If Studio One is to be considered the most user friendly DAW, then this is a must.
How much easier would this make it for the beginner!
I'm thinking that Presonus have left this feature out for a reason as its usually a funamental element in midi sequencing software. Lets hope they look at this post and pass onto the DEV team for next major update release. Was the first think that stood out to me anyway.
this has been requested so many times im sure PreSonus is actively looking into this. It may not come soon (hope it does), but i would be surprised if they decided against it. btw, the guy in the Logic video is one of the most annoying commentators ive ever heard. how many times did he say "ive input a C2 note" in a row?
