Please be sure that you read and understand these as they will tell you what you can and can't do with the new driver and firmware (if required).

The iPad app should be along in a few more hours. It takes Apple some time to get it where it needs to be for us to grab it.

Months of testing have gone into these and we hope you like them. Scribble strips are fixed. FX is fixed, and several other things are fixed!!

Connection problems after UC and qmix update

Was it working before? Did you tell VSL to use your devices?

Worked fine for me.

Any chance you just need to reset something? What type of network are you running?

Do you know if they're planning to release a UC 1.7 SL Remote and Qmix 1.4 addendum? Some of us are new with this Smaart features and would like to know if there's a documentation that we can follow.

There's release notes there for the 1.7 release and there is an addendum to the manual.

I haven't posted it yet since I'm on my mobile phone. Thinks is in the documents tab for your device.

Before update everything was working, now mixer is visible in Qmix but after few seconds qmix is crashing or freezing. IOS6 on iphone 4S

Try a remove reinstall on the iPhone. See if that fixes it.

qmix doesn't work at all

This used to happen with the ipad app. Can you backup to iTunes and reinstall? It takes a bit but should get it going again.

I have downloaded the new UC 1.7. Then installed it and rebooted the MacBook Pro. After starting UC and checking the version in "About Universal Control" it is telling me that it is still version 1.6.5451 OSX, Nov 2012. Is this correct? I did even remove the application and reinstalled it again. Still the same 1.6.5451 version. I expect it to be 1.7.

There's a problem in the naming convention.

The version date should read 7 November 2012. If it says that then you've got 1.7.

Is the new UC compatible with Windows XP?

I don't think it is officially supported so you may have to be the guinea pig on it.

Am i missing something? I have been running it on my lappy that has XP on it..

Final word.

XP is not officially supported with the latest release. It may work but it should be noted that you are using it at your own risk. If they're not supporting it there is likely a good reason.

I'm sure there are going to be a lot of upset XP users and I'm sure Presonus isnt happy about it either. But there has to be a line somewhere I guess.
