Hi everybody.

I have installed both 32 & 64 bit versions of SO2. Now I want to uninstall the 64-bit version only. I see the uninstall shortcut in the 64-bit folder but I am worried that it will erase my 32bit installation too. Can you give me an advice on this one?

32 and 64 bit S1 installations are two separate installations and you should be able to uninstall either without affecting the other.

Plus AFAIK, even with uninstalling, your folders and songs will be preserved.

No, go for it man, then you can be the guy that already did it!!! Live on the edge, if it goes bad you can write a song about it the anguish in the song is sure to make it a hit...

lol... this is good advice.... go for it.


I can't tell you how many times i've installed/uninstalled different versions back n forth to do testing. Everything gets preserved. Never lost a setting.

What OS are you on? You have nothing in your signature. If it's windows 7 you can always do a System Restore Point. If it's OS X, you can always do a Time Machine Backup first.

I realize you already did it, so this information will hopefully help others thinking of making changes in the future.
