For those of us that rode the storm out...

I personally want to say thanks for your concern. I haven't heard of any of our fellow Presonians being injured in any way.

I think the harder part of this is definitely the aftermath. Most of the region is still without power and the coastal regions are a huge mess.

The inland areas are starting to dry up a bit now and damage assessments are coming along nicely. Now if we could just get some electricity (and I know they're working around the clock on it) we will be back to business as usual.

Yes, to those who fought long through no power, cold, and some who've lost they're home, our thoughts and heart goes out to you.

We (our family) were fortunate. Had power the whole time (on our block anyway), but no cable TV, Land line phone, Cell phone, or Internet for 9 days. I was able to record, with S1 since we had power though! Yes, we were a fortunate few. Our losses miner. Hardly compares with having no power for several weeks, looking for shelter, feeding kids (and pets), and any loss of life some had to endure.

Some friends and family, and others, not so fortunate.

There are a lot of families displaced by Sandy here on the shore line of Long Island,, and N.J.

Location & cost wise, the impact of that storm is now higher than, yep... Katrina.

So maybe if you can, help those not so fortunate.

Btw, we have family here from Texas. They are volunteers with the Red Cross working on the Recovery efforts. Yes, they really do A LOT! Like many, they are away from their families for weeks, volunteering to help others .

Just sayin' so you know such donations to such reputable charities does make a difference. Stay safe Presonus people!

Your friends down here in Jersey have had your back Lokey.

The base here has been hosting Red Cross relief efforts as well as several support teams from as far away as Alabama and Michigan. And we were running missions to get stuff for people within 24 hours of the storm end.

Life is pretty close to back to normal for inland Jersey.

I just hope there still aren't too many displaced. I'm told most if not all of the power is back on. Is that how it is up your way?

Back at you Monolithent.
Here, all but a few are back on with electricity. With that, there are thousands of homes where walls are ripped out, Electricity torn out, and any other disrepair due to the salt water & wind damage. Obviously barrier Islands hit worse. From Cape May NJ, and up through L.I. and even inland, and inter coastal areas will take a long time to be back on with power, or even able to have folks return to livable conditions.

That’s where the affects of a densely packed area hit from such a weather storm spell disaster. We’ve seen it with Katrina, and places throughout the world. It’s what we do as humans. Endure.

NY & NJ are tough! Add to that, Americans!

Thank you and be well.
