Well, to be fair, sometimes it may feel that way but I think for the most part it is unintentional and is a byproduct of translation - To a native English speaking person it may come off as aggressive or pushy, sometimes. I think in most cases it is not meant that way and just a lack of not understanding the nuances of particular words.

I can't speak/read/write anything but English so I am always impressed by those who attempt to express themselves on this (or other) forum(s) through a language that is not their primary tongue.

But in the end, dorks are dorks regardless of the language.

Dan

Good Example. I am from Sweden and english is not my native language but I studied in UK so I can understand what I read but sometimes I make mistakes while spelling or in grammer. As this is not an "American Only" forum there are different producers from different countries. Some of them are using google translate or something, so it may sounds weird for an American. But there is no language for being troll so I always respect who use translators to getting touch with forum members as long as they`re not trolling...

The one thing he is right about is the large amount of space S1 song folders take up on the HD. Why is that?

He was talking about memory usage not HDD usage. For your question, as S1 has very advanced history and trash bin function, it saves every possible action in workflow. So it`s very normal thing kinda.

When you finish your project just save to new folder and zip it.

I understand as well, my first language isn't English either. But telling someone "you are wrong" is rude even if you use google translate, because you have to type those words into it in your native language.

S1 as same as Picture shop it' not good for Arrange zone because People need more space arrange zone for Sequencing.

No doubt. I know that when I listen to a bad song on the radio, I think to myself, "They must have used a DAW with some serious CPU drain...."

Sometimes I think the same - but then again I've met a good handful native speaking a****** on Cubase.net.

Other than that, this thread was a fairly entertaining read. Now let it die.

Really, don't know what to say. Sorry.

I just mixed about two hours of Rock'n'Roll if that's an excuse ...

I believe that the OP was probably a kid from the Cubase forum sent to us to stir the puddin'.

I can see them discussing it now in the Cubase forum....

Suspect 1 - Hey guys, what about that new DAW, Studio One?

Suspect 2 - Yeah, I've heard about it. Heard it's pretty decent.

Moderator - It sucks.

Suspect 2 - I wonder if they have a forum like ours.

Suspect 1 - You know they do. The probably sit around and talk about how great their DAW is, and how it has made their life easier, and how Cubase is not as good.

Moderator - What? Blasphemy!

Suspect 1 - Yeah!!! It hasn't even been around as long as Cubase, so you know it sucks.

Moderator - It Sucks!

Suspect 2 - Hey......why don't one us go over to their little party (forum), and get them all agitated talking about how bad their DAW sucks.....we don't have to have actual logic to back it up; in fact, we can say that Logic is better. haha. That would be great.

When a thread goes 2 pages without another post from the OP, they have obviously moved on. We should do the same.

Goodbye cruel thread. It was fun while it lasted. See you guys on the next superdavid/debbey/guywhosenameiwasrudleyaskedviaobsceneprivatemessagetostopmentioning149

Goodnight Springton.....there will be no encores.

Give the guy a break. He's certainly entitled to his opinion. Not everyone will love (or even like, or can even stand using) S1 so... who cares?

Nothing to get panties in a bunch about imo.

I disagree. Panties in a bunch (on the floor) is a GOOD day. Dare I say.....better than bacon? Now I've done it....cross posting from the delete me thread......banned for life. In my defense, it's hard to resist talking about panties AND bacon, no matter who you are.

But seriously, I could care less if S1 uses 1TB on startup and I need a telescope to read the faders. It works for me, doesn't get in the way of creativity, and is priced to allow me to purchase other tools for the process. And gives me a great sounding product to boot.

The haters will hate, the fans will be fans. But sometimes a good game of "whack a troll" gets you through the mid-week blues.
