Is there a tap sync function on the fx side of this console? and can you link a 24.4.2 with a 16 ch?
How is Tech. support with helping out on the bugs of the new console?

Thanks

There is a tap button on the top of the mixer to set tempo.

No you can't connect a 24 and a 16 via firewire (due to different operating systems) but it is possible via analog (kind of like a submix).

Presonus has the best customer service I have ever had the pleasure to deal with. As the SL24 goes it's still a pretty new mixer so there are still some bugs in it that users have found. I believe if you submit a ticket on anything Presonus will get you a response most times within 24 hours. And there are some very knowledgeable folks on here who have been using the SL16 and every other Presonus product across the board for years as well as the mods are some of the creators of the products so you can get answers for many things by a simple forum search or thread.

Hope that answers your questions.

And welcome to the forums.

Haven't really heard of anything negative from the big boys but most of them use the uber high end toys anyway. There's a video of the SL16 doing monitor duty for Delbert McClinton and the engineer spoke highly of it. Have a look around the web. I'm sure you'll find opinions. Most of them are based on the SL16 considering it's been around longer and folks have had a chance to put it through its paces. I will say that mine runs events a few times a week for military functions and has never once missed a beat.
