I have an HP EliteBook 8530w running Windows 7 32-bit, 4 gig ram. I purchased a StarTech Firewire Express Card for it to run the FireStudio Tube. It appears that after a random period of time running S1 Pro connected to the FireStudio that it blue screens Win 7. It happened 3 times yesterday when I was playing around recording and playing back tracks. So I took out the StarTech card and plugged the FireStudio straight into the firewire port built into the laptop. It's a Ricoh chipset interface. It actually improved. I left S1 playing and looping thru a song that had 4 tracks. According to the windows system event log it ran about 6 hrs before the laptop blue screened.

Question. Does S1 have any error logging? How do I track down the problem?

Thanks!
Thanks

Try using the "legacy" driver with the startech card. That's how I got my HP DV7 to work.
