I have 5 completed songs, they are in different tempos. I want them to overlap in the mastering suite and create mp3's exactly how I arrange the overlapping songs. S-1 is not creating a single mp3 or wave file, instead there are 5 mp3's or wave files that are separate and no longer overlapping. I then tried to burn to CD the master project as it should be but halfway through it times out and closes.

How am I to do this? (overlap all 5 songs of different tempos seamlessly and create mp3's?)
I'm on a deadline and this is the kind of nightmare I wanted to avoid.

I think the problem could be that when you dragged / imported the 5 songs into the Studio One Project area it treated each file as a separate song to burn or export as a digital mp3 file.

Not sure if there is another way (maybe there is) but one way you could try to achieve what you want is

1. ...to try bouncing those 5 songs down to a single continuous file (with overlaps)

2. ...then bring that file into the Project area.

You should now get a single continuous file for any CD burn or digital release with the overlaps you want.

I then tried to burn to CD the master project as it should be but halfway through it times out and closes.

Try this option...

I think this was answered elsewhere in another post. You need to play the MP3s using the M3U file (which some players don't support, or defeat the purpose of with their own settings) created when you do the Digital Release if you want the MP3's to overlap as intended. Otherwise, each MP3 is created separately, and there are no overlaps in the files...one for each track, end to end. This is the way CD's are created as well; indexes are used to deal with track numbers, overlaps, pauses, etc.

When you say 'it times out and closes', what exactly do you mean? Are you getting an error message? Do you have the optional stuff checked in the burn menu (these options are meant to prevent errors, etc, and most drives support them).
