Hi, I love my StudioLive and VSL / IPad, but i am looking for small iPad based rig for when I play open mics, small coffee shops etc. I have discovered I can plug a Lexicon Omega directly into an iPad via the camera equivalent, and I was wondering if the AudioBox series has that capability - I am very much an iPad noob so still experimenting. While I'm at it, can anyone tell me if iTunes etc, will redirect to an external device like the Omega, or Alesis Dock? I prefer a separate device over a dock as I want the iPad on a mic stand.
Cheers
Grif

No I'm not a freaking pilot!! The Air Force won't let me have a suit with a zipper...or sometimes shoestrings.
My advice and suggestions should never be considered advice or suggestions. These are mostly insane ramblings of a poor aircraft mechanic who can, strangely enough, still hear.
StudioLive 16.4.2, AudioBox 1818VSL, AudioBox 44VSL, Faderport, Digimax FS,, M-Audio Firewire 410

Appreciate the effort - not a bad idea for the future though. As well as a control surface, I am using ForScore for lyric sheets, backing tracks, etc. I am trying to convince them to also send MIDI program change info when I pick a song so it sets the presets on my Looper, POD XT Voicelive, drum machine etc so I don't have to. Would have liked to stay with the Presonus gear but at least the Omega has a good rep.

btw I will be taking the StudioLive to Salt Lake City in August for a 3 day Secondlife jam, about 40 musicians and about the same in audience all playing all day.

I thought the audioboxes worked with the ipad as long as you provided the power. Maybe I missed something. I thought all usb class compliant interfaces worked.
Hardware Controllers: JL Cooper CS-10 Control Surface, Yamaha EZ-EG, Dillion Les Paul style acoustic electric guitar with Roland GK-3 pickup and GI-20 converter.
The Rest: Guitars, Amps, Stompboxes, Mics, Outboard Gear, VST plugins...too much to list!

Good to know - were you able to test the midi?
Cheers

Sorry, I didn't test the 1818's midi. I also forgot to mention that I used a camera connection kit USB connector.
