FR - Range select ruler area for true insert and cut

S1 could benefit from this feature to range select i.e.

markers, time signature, tempo track in the ruler area to
insert, delete multiple events (i.e. tempo changes) or
even to range select portions of a song to insert, cut etc.

What comes to mind when I am working with Video it could be of use to drag the play marker in the ruler area frame accurately. In the transport bar you can click into the Bars or Frames display field and use either the scroll wheel of your mouse or the keyboard cursor keys to navigate frame by frame. So why not in the ruler area?
Its strange one can only click imprecisely in the ruler area.

Also Range selection and copy paste a range is still buggy when using folders.
