Hi, I understand that when the Digimax FS is clocked at 88.2 or 96k, the ADAT outputs each carry 4 of the 8 channels. My question is this: when clocked at 44.1 or 48k, is the second ADAT output inactive, or could you use both ADAT outputs to send all 8 channels to 2 different devices? Has anyone tried this?

I know it works on my Focusrite ISA428, but I guess I'll have to see if I can get my hands on a DigiMax to test it. I'm working on putting together a virtual mixer rack using an interface and multiple ADAT preamp units, and if it works I'll probably be looking at picking up 3-4 of the Digimax FS. Thanks; I'll post my results.

I picked up a Digimax FS; I'll try using both ADAT outputs simultaneously when I have some free time in the studio, and post my results. The scenario in my head is using the preamps as a digital+analog "split snake" to interface with other gear, like a typical FOH/monitor console setup, or a console and a backup recording rig, even a FOH/monitor/recording setup (use the analog outs, plus both ADAT outs).
