Hello,

Just wanted to know when we can expect the next big feature update for S1.v2 ?

Jan., Feb, or later in 2012 ?

Attn. Presonus S1.v2 developers, Please add a pattern/arranger/blocks/clips type feature in the next update.

Having said that, how are current S1.v2 users dealing with experimenting with various arrangement/pattern ideas ? are you mainly doing copy/paste, or using folders, or .... ? I would be very interested in knowing how you are managing without a proper dedicated pattern-style arranging tool.

Thanks,
Muziksculp

Not sure why you think this feature is so useful. Are you able to educate me or refer me to a video?

I am making out fine with the current way of working. I use "D" a lot.

Would like to learn more about what you are talking about.

Here is a short video tutorial showing how the Arranger Track in Cubase can be a very helpful, and cool tool Other DAWs like Reason 6, Live 8, use other methods, but they all tend to help in speeding up the building of an interesting arrangement without the tedious copy-n-paste, i.e. using the (D key) a lot in a linear view.

Dont Bloat up S1V2, this DAW is unique and dont make it like other DAW`s like Cubase, Ableton and all the others.

All is perfect and if you cant handle this pls use another Software.

Merry Christmas.

Let Ableton be Ableton and keep S1 as is.

I've been a LIve user for six years and love it. All my arrangements are done there and then I mix/tweak in S1.

I enjoy moving between both; keeps things interesting..........

The big feature updates are usually roughly a year apart, so I would be betting Q3 or even Q4 of 2012 to see new features. A feature like this might actually take a lot longer. There's been a huge feature update release just two months ago called v2. I'm assuming something like this will be introduced in v3 or maybe v4. So don't expect anything like this soon, if ever.

Sorry, but I really don't get it. Why are you so against such a helpful feature ?

How can such a musically useful feature be considered 'bloat' ?

I hope Presonus development offers something of this nature in their next update, and I hope it's not going to take very long to see it happen, there are many S1 users who requested something of this nature to be added to S1v2, but this has not happened yet, so I'm not alone in making such a request.

Personaly I am 100% up for it,but I'd rather have them fix all the bugs first and make S1rock solid again and refine some of the already new features, hint multitimbral ins. freeze and other quirks

You are all aware the big v2 release is only 60 days ago and they've worked 1,5 half years on this release right?

Man, you guys can be nagging and come across as ungrateful (sorry to day)...

Anyway, if you want new features, post an FR.

For those wanting new features, have patience...

You are not alone with this. I would like to see this feature has it is very helpful for mixing or changing up your song(s). Some of the good folks here are obvious leary of bloating the software like some of the other Daws (including me). With that being said I am pretty sure Presonus has this item on their list but will want to do it right, resulting in a possible time delay, if you will. I do think when they do it, it will be right. That seems to be Presonus pattern.

Asking for a feature, that many hoped will make it in v2, is neither asking for "bloat" nor nagging. All he wanted to know is when we can expect an update that brings new features such as the one he described on more detail. I don't see anything wrong with that.

Speaking for myself I'm all up for this feature. And the answer to how long it may take can only be given by Presonus. Everything else is just guessing.

Never understood the "don't add anything else, its perfect" mindset. You don't have to upgrade if the current version is perfect for you. Just need bug fixes? They'll come before new features ... don't sweat it.

I think these are suppose to show that I am light-hearted and carefree or something and somehow make you not take offense to my opinion

Missing this feature makes it quite difficult to leave Cubase. I like the arranger track there. In Sequel Steinberg has as well a quite interesting version of this kind of functionality. Even logic has something of that nature.

I know if you dont like s1v2 ....... But this is important.
