Now that 2.0.3 is out i couldn't be happier. S1 runs rock solid like never before. I can even go to much lower latency with my asio setting.
I have saffire 6 usb, and i have a laptop with i7 720 qm 1.6 ghz, 4 GB RAM, win 7 64 bit. Before the update i had 224 samples running, with some glitches, and it was not so stable. I couldnt even minimize S1, without having the cpu spiking like crazy.
Now i can go lower down to 134 samples! which i never had with any DAW with my current devices.

But i always had this question in my head, and then i saw this thread at kvr, which makes me more curious.

When i run my project the cpu indicator in studio one says it loads 60-70 %. But when i look at the task manager it only shows near 25 %.
Even when the indicator scratches 90 % or so , the task manager still says no more than 50 %.
Does it mean that Studio One still doesnt use all the resource and potential of my cpu fully?
Don't get me wrong, i already had sonar and cubase previously in my laptop, and i still think that studio one is the most stable among these, but is there still much room for improvement?

Last but not least, kudos to the guys for the quick fixes.

Please be aware that the CPU performance indicator and the Task manager measure two completely different things on the CPU load.

And Multi-Core does not mean that the load gets evenly spread across the various cores either.

I'll let some of the devs answer this one, but suffice it to say that you can't compare the two one on one.
