I was having the "phase cancellation" with my first HP60 when I setup for the stereo "More Me" mix. Every time I tried to add more of a mono source (via AUX/monitor mix) with the stereo mix into the HP60... the signal would actually DECREASE (due to cancellation).

PreSonus asked me to send-back the unit and they replaced it. The one I have works as expected now. No issues.

hey guys...

im planning to buy hp 60 maybe tomorrow... just want to find out how exactly yo wire this thing. im confused now while reading this thread.

our band at church will be practicing at home and maybe we could use thhis for wired monitoring too when playing at church.

so what are the wires to be used when i sen the signals to the headphone amp from my aux's. TS? TRS? im using mono mix only...

havent really tried it yet. just curious how we could protect our ears... can i use the compressor as a limiter on my aux's?

any suggestions for a headphone amp on its price range or even cheaper for this purpose?

appreciate your help...

I run TS to TS for the ext inputs of the HP60 with the mono button pressed in. I use the XLR outs from the SL16 for the main inputs, via a pair of XLRF -> TRS adapters at the HP60. It is on these that I ended up reversing pins 2 + 3 to fix the phase cancellation issue. Based on what others have said, there appear to be a couple of variants of the HP60, so it may not be necessary, bit this is an easy way to fix it. (I did try TRS-TRS for the mains and had the same issue). I would rather have a coupl eof clearly marked adapters than a rogue phase reverse cable finding its way into my cable stash - been there, done that, it sucks lol. TS-TS from Hosa, adapters on eBay

Cheers.. Grif

I have the same issue here trying to get a semi stereo monitor mix with a mono more me via the Aux outs using a 16.0.2

Just thought I'd share a diagram of setup.
