That would be nice. Do I move on or wait?
Sad that we have to make that choice, after spending the cash on a product that is slow on development.
I'm just thinking how we've been told Presonus won't give any time line on update releases, yet it seems they released the AB1818 well before it was ready.
I am going to try to hang in there but I'm not sure if this will ever be resolved.
Maybe a $500.00 trade towards a mixer?

It may be that the target audience for this specific product is small. Nevertheless, Presonus could lose customers if anyone else comes up with a similar product... e.g. if Focusrite were to add effects to the Scarlett 18i20 they would own this market niche.

I'm dreaming, but there could be something in the making... Yamaha has been working really hard lately at acquiring people and companies to bring it to the top.
New year, I can only wish something will come out of 2014 for the 1818. We've been waiting far too long already.
MacBookPro 15" late 2009, 2.4mHz, 8G RAM
OS X 10.9, 10.8, 10.7
Presonus 1818vsl (1.2.2 not beta anymore but still sketchy),
Yamaha mixer
Art USB Dual Pre
Samson, Blue mics
Logic Pro, Reaper, S1 Pro (can't use it in my case because of a lack in MIDI support)
Yamaha DXT700
Superior Drummer, Addictive Drums, Drumic'a!
it is frustrating that a almost solid product is hampered by bad performance. I actually love the effects and the basic function of my 1818 but i get the same random static that others get. one song sounds like an old AM radio, and the next is basically clean. I say basically because it always has at least a pop or two in it somewhere.
Toshiba Laptop Dual Core 4 gig ram, Studio One 2 artist, Sonar X-1 Essentials, Band in a Box 2013, RealBand, Audiobox 1818 VSL, Carvin Cobalt Acoustic, Gibson S-1 mod, Fender Jazz bass clone, Ovation Legend 12 string, TC Helicon Voiceworks.
It's great to see that a company won't release an up date until it's ready and that they are indeed working on it, as we have been told.....
So I'm trying to think of any other products that are so complex that it over 17 months (and still counting) to to write an update!
How many new products and updates has Presonus released since the last ab1818 update is it that hard to up date? The ipad app has updated in demo mode, so why not release it so it works I know I'm not the only one who would be happy with channel labeling that worked!

It appears to me that Presonus has given up on reading this forum and doesn't care about us. I have been really interested in a Presonus digital mixer, but the terrible taste this 1818 has left in my mouth has me holding off and considering other options. Terrible customer service and communication.

Yep, I've been looking into other products as well, funny how they keep selling this product, with no updates

And know very well it isn't compatible with most new PC and Mac computers.
gadget69 wrote:There are some problems here... the newer computers have been coming out with USB 3.0 ports, which are NOT backward compatible with 1.1, or 2.0... Some PC platforms have the ability to globally shut down the USB 3.0 feature, but not all...
Macs with USB 3.0 only are not currently supported... There is much info on this in the Knowledge base:
