Installed it on my machine running Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit SP1.
Worked fine for the first couple of hours, pulled up a PT mix to work on, heard the sample rate changing sound "click click pop pop" and whole computer froze.
Tried it again, did the USB settings to "Disabled" worked fine for a day, today, while working in S1, heard the same thing, whole computer froze again.
I'm falling back to V1.1 as that has never ever given me any problems.
Would be great if anyone could point me out if I've missed anything else in troubleshooting the issue.

Hi All,
Just an update to my previous post.
After a bit of troubleshooting. 1.21 Beta drive is working FINE on Windows 7 64bit SP1.
I kept thinking it was a software/driver issue but it kept occurring and I had to slowly troubleshoot any possible causes.
Basically, the audio driver will fail (will start hearing sample rate changing clicks and pops), machine will start to slow down and everything will freeze on the spot. Have had to do a hardware power off (holding the power button on my laptop).
At the currently moment I suspect it's because my USB ports are crosstalking, like when I plugged in my external powered hard drive to my USB powered hub that's connected to the port beside my AudioBox, it starts to do that thing, I would then have to quickly pull out my AudioBox cable to prevent my machine from freezing up.
Have migrated my AudioBox usb to the USB port on the other side of my laptop to see if the same issue happens. I do happen to be running a pen tablet, external keyboard, iLok and a MIDI keyboard controller through my powered USB hub, probably the reason why it's starting to crosstalk. Never had issues for the past year though, only till now. The only reason I could think of was that I've recently updated my motherboard's BIOS and that MAY be causing it. Then again I'll continue to monitor it and see what happens.
So once again, 1.2.1 Beta IS WORKING on windows 7. Apologies for the rant earlier.
About once every couple of days my Audio Box 1818 VSL 1.2.1 will fire up but (hang).
Analyzing the Wait chain, a thread is stuck trying to do network I./O
However the net work if working fine. ( I did this post while AB VSL was hung.)
A lot of of times it takes a reboot to kill the hung thread.
I would have to say that 1.2.1 is probably a bit less stable than 1.2.0 for me.
1.2.1 will disappear after shutting down Studio One. ( It will not restart unless you reboot the machine as it is hung in a wait state)
Again I get the network error message the event logs.
Last night I also witnessed changes in monitoring volume of input mics while using Studio One vs have it off and monitoring the same sources.
I have been playing with 1) using AB 1818 VSL as a default sound source for Windows vs. using another device to see if that makes a deference.
So in total for about the last month I have see the follow issues:
1) AB 1.2.1 not starting on boot up (due to hang)
2) AB 1.2.1 dying after shutting down S1 (due to hang)
3) AB 1.2.1 with massive monitoring volume differences while using S1 vs not using S1.
I finally went back to 1.2.0 for Win 64 bit
1.2.1 would hang on on booting trying to do a network access, and or not open the GUI way too often. It finally corrupted itself in the registry and would not run any more.
I re-install 1.2.0
Stable now.
Hope they get some resources on it the AB real soon.

Agreed....this has gone on WAYYY too long. We deserve some solid, stable drivers....preferably with separate installs
for the drivers and VSL......Oops.....I said it again.

While the 1.2.1 beta driver solved my pop and click issues with the AB44VSL, about every 5th boot fails to start the VSL hardware properly and I have to reboot. It's never happened twice in a row, thank God.
This version seems to be the solution of all my problems AB44VSL, , noises craklings , the need of cut off and on my audiobox. for having sound on internet....
hope all will stay stable now
