I spoke to a rep from one of the on-line etailers; their system (if I understood things right) showed upgrades for sale available starting November 1st.
This would make sense with the close of the current upgrade sale ending October 31st... but who knows.
Maybe we can get woodbeast to spill the beans on that game changer feature(s) etc...

As a Beta Toucher I am not allowed to discuss any new features. Presonus will pull my Beta Touching privileges.

Just release it and stop all the mystery already. I mean there are leaked videos and now product on store shelves.
I think PreSonus are carefully trying to co -ordinate a world wide release of a product across various timezones...that cannot be easy, indeed it is likely far from easy. I think PreSonus have given Retailers a firm date but they cannot just change the date because one of the retailers might be selling early. Releasing S1v2 early would likely cause retail chaos.

I did not wish to stir up a hornets nest here. I stand by my statement in my post. I would have bought it if they had the upgrade version.

As much as it seems nice this secret release idea, it just won't work. Look at how much was leaked accidentally when PT9 was released. Sonar X1 was leaked by dealers online before hand is well (though few noticed as the new features seemed so insignificant ).
A proper secret release would be what props have been doing; state a new version is coming then release features over a week or so. Then say it will be available in 2 weeks or something. Sure you don't have the immediate 'Im going to buy this now" but it still has the impact online and if you make preorders available you will likely acheive more direct sales...

True there has been leaks with other devs as well. At the end of the day no dev can force a retailer to stick to the plan. But I would think it is a necessary part of marketing to keep things quiet until the last minute. Ok...Reaper is a different but then again the business model is as well. In any case by Monday / Tuesday it appears a full announcement will be made. Just a few days.

YES. THEY ARE IN STOCK AND SHIPPING FROM SOME PLACES. I CAN ABSOLUTELY CONFIRM THIS 100%
Ok, sorry for telling but I just wanna make sure you heard me. There's nothing to confirm really. Guitar Center and a few other places are selling them now.
Nothing on their website yet.
Can anyone confirm new features based upon release?

I would have thought Presonus would have some sort of contract stating sales period and t/c of sales. I suppose there isn't much they could do if it was broken though, you woudln't want a major retailer to stop selling your product over such a dispute.

Yes likely something was signed one would expect. Still I think PreSonus might be on the phone to GC about a certain box of Audio Software right about now
