It would be nice to know in advance of release.What with Christmas coming soon and having presents to buy for the kids etc.

Well, as things are looking now, the release of v2 will be well before Christmas, so the prices will be available then. Knowing PreSonus, as soon as they are official, they will be published.

with increasing price of S1 2.0 the budget for kids' and wife's presents will decrease - just a matter of priorities...

I just got back from a trip to December 15, 2011 but I 'aint telling nothing about Studio One.... I'm just buying more stock in _______ .

Nobody knows anything. PreSonus is not telling anything. All we know is that there is a version 2 that is coming sometime in the future. People are guessing v2 is coming soon-ish because v1 has been discounted, but that's all we have to go on. Also, MusicRadar has published a release date for v2 of Oct 17, but PreSonus has said that that date did not come from them.

yeah i was just wondering not about the actuall release but just about info about it. i thought they had mentioned info would be released sometime by the end of the year and i figured at least info about the product in oct. some time. i kinda figuered it would be released sometime in jan of next year in reality can trust what might pop up in development.

Definitely awkward that Music Radar would risk their name and reputation on that claim.. Seems kind of odd for them to do that..Maybe this happens more often then not,I don't read many music magazines.. Perhaps this is the normal type of hype thing that happens for a release??

Hey, I'm sure it's gonna be more than fair just based on how they've done things so far. Can you imagine a free 2.0 Artist (or what ever they're gonna call it) with every interface?
