My FSM is stuck in mono mode. I get the same signal out both channels. This happens with several applications.

I am on an i7 MacBookPro running 10.6.8 using a Firewire 400/800 adapter. I searched through the various audio preferences and there was no way to turn this off.

I did some searching and apparently this mono mode is the default for FireStudio! The link below says how to change it to stereo.

But it refers to a "Device Window" and I have no idea how to get the "Device Window" on my MacBookPro. And that topic is "Closed for Comments".

Why would they make FireStudio mono by default? That seems like a bug. Is there a solution to this problem? If not then it is going back to the store.

You should be able to fix it in Universal control.
also try a full uninstall/reinstall/firmware flash.

No I'm not a freaking pilot!! The Air Force won't let me have a suit with a zipper...or sometimes shoestrings.

My advice and suggestions should never be considered advice or suggestions. These are mostly insane ramblings of a poor aircraft mechanic who can, strangely enough, still hear.
