Hi ...i have the Firestudio Mobile bought last year ...but, since ive buyed it i had these glitchy sounds coming thru my speakers ...i have the Samson Resolv A8 monitors and they have self powered amps in ...sounds coming thru them are very annoying and seems that are the sounds my pc is doing when is in work ...the more i work with the pc the more glitches i hear ...now, i dont know what to say and what to do, since i bought it i used it for 3 times only ...and it made me a very bad impression about the quality of Presonus hardware, but maybe its just my card, i dont know, im very frustrated ...i also have a Delta 1010 LT (PCI) bought 3 years ago and it works flawlessly, no glitchy sounds ...i would appreciate any help or any suggestion you guys can give ...thanks for reading ...Adrian.

First of all, what FireWire card do you have. Does it have Texas Instruments chipset? If it doesn't, it's time to buy a new FW card with a TI chipset.

Second. Adjust your buffers. Increase them until there are no more glitches.

Third, if there is any third party software that involves a limiter, turn it off.

In whatever DAW you are using, make sure that you have the audio engine set to PRESONUS ASIO and NOT ASIO multimedia or Full Duplex. Do NOT use the WDM drivers.

If you've covered all this, post back with some details about your DAW, CPU, Motherboard, RAM, OS, Plugins, Peripherals.

You can find out what chipset is in there by running the OHCI Tool. It's in my thread at the top of Presales.

It'll tell you what you need to know about your chipset.

Also, since you're on Win 7 try setting 1394 to the legacy driver in windows.

The only other thing I see from the OHCI run is that your firewire chipset is not on the recommended list.

Have you attempted any other adjustments to the operating system?
