XLR Inputs (1 and 2) not working !

Hello guys. I bought my presonus firestudio mobile audio device on march of this year, installed and registered it and everything. It was working okay at nuendo 3, but out of nowhere the lights started to be unstable, and the inputs 1 and 2 stopped working. I dont know what happened and havent been able to get support since Im from brasilia, brazil, and the authorized repairment place is at sao paolo.

If u know anything about it, please give me a light ! thanks !

Hi,

I don't know how the FS Mobile warranty works in Brazil or what rights you have as a consumer in Brazil. But I bought my FS Mobile last October and it died last month - I contacted the company I bought it from and they arranged to pick it up at no cost to me so that they could look at it and then shipped it direct to Presonus on my behalf.

Have you spoken to the company from whom you purchased your FS Mobile?

I actually did. The whole story is that I've bought it at Guitarcenter in Orlando and also bought an upgraded warranty. I had another audio device fast track pro before, also bought there, that died in a few years. They told me I could have had a new device, even if Im from brazil, if I had this upgraded warranty for it.

So I got the presonus with this warranty lasting 3 years. It would have been useful if it worked. Once it was broken, I've contacted first this warranty that told me to fix it and send them the invoices of the costs. It is not worth it since I have to send it to another city to get an authorized presonus store fix it. The total cost will be kind of high. I'm not sure if they will pay me, but even if they do, it will be through check, which takes taxes to make it turn to money here.

I have contacted presonus here, and they told me the company's warranty is on only there, that here I would have to pay for the repair.

So I contacted Guitarcenter, and the salesperson, a brazilian actually, said they would have it traded if I had someone going there and all. But once I got someone to go to orlando, the same salesperson told me I couldnt have it coz he forgot that online registered devices could not be traded. Wtf.

I just sent it to sao paolo at my own risk, but Im pretty upset with all that. Nor presonus, nor guitarcenter, nor this gc warranty is giving me the support I need, and I havent used my device for 4 months now.
