Hey folks,

I got confirmation from Rick Naqvi just yesterday. Presonusphere (name still subject to change) is a go!!!

Date: 19-20 November 2011

Time: All weekend long

Location: The center of the Presonus Universe...Baton Rouge, Louisiana

Why do you have to move mountains to be there?

A chance to meet the Presonians that have created the equipment you either live or play on.
A chance to network with fellow Presonians. (Admit it...you really wanna know what everybody really looks like.)
Some really great talks and sessions with other Presonians about a rainbow of different subjects (More to come on this as plans are finalized)
A chance to play with gear you don't have.
A chance to see where the gear is designed and repaired.
Some impromptu jam sessions (and maybe a few planned ones)
Workshops!!!!!

My personal favorite...a chance to try that Jambalaya recipe in the back of the Studio One manual (Rick's gonna crap when he sees this one...I think we'll need a truckbed full...there goes the budget!!)

Who knows what else!!!! Feel free to drop some ideas.

We are working on making portions available via webcast for folks who wanna see what's happening live (still in the planning stages but we are hopeful that this can happen--especially for our brethren who don't reside on this continent).

Even for those who can't make those I know there are gonna be video cameras everywhere for this so you'll see lots of cool ideas and gear (and especially people) shortly after the event or maybe during. So if you've been kidnapped and held against your will during this weekend make sure your captors demand YouTube and Vimeo access so you can see what's happening.

So come on folks...Clear the calendar!!!! Come on down!!!!!!! ROAD TRIP!!!!!!!!

Yeah, I kinda like it too.

I think a little birdie (from Texas so it would be bigger) told it to me and it kinda stuck.

Already mentioned it to Jason about the sticky.

So far, only to get yourself there and find a place to sleep.

More to come.

You got a StudioLive (or thinking about getting one) and you're concerned about MONEY?

For what it's worth, nobody's paying my way.

Jason, is it possible to link this to a sticky also on the Studio One Forum so all PreSonus users can see? Don't want to leave anyone out, you know.

This idea has the potential to bring some huge benefit to both Presonus and their customers. From a user standpoint, the ability to immerse themselves with experts and Presonus staff could go a long, long way toward building brand loyalty and competitive immunity.

Many users are stuck working their way through learning a new piece of hardware or software using the old trial and error method. I envision this conference serving as a platform for Presonus to exhibit their products in a real live working environment yet with the best of circumstances. It should really be a great opportunity to showcase their products and give their users the ability to maximize the potential of each piece of gear.

As an SL 16.4.2 user myself, I would love to dive into some demos and instruction on recording with Studio One and get a better hand on the fundamentals of recording. I'd also like to learn more about live mixing with the SL. 'Tricks of the Trade' if you will. But that's just my wish list. I'm sure everyone has something that interests them. Let's hope Presonus does a thorough job of finding out exactly what their customers want.

In any case, I'm in. Let's get this party started!

New users, power users, potential new customers...all welcome! As BJD would like to learn more about Studio One, folks working with S1 would like to learn more about the SLIVE series. It's a win/win thang.

Thanks!, BJD! You're right, Let's get this party started!

So my guess is they're up their ears prepping for the NAMM show. As soon as that's over I'm guessing we'll get some excellent details on what Presonus has in store for the conference.

Some things I'd like to see.

Definitely some serious hands on with the StudioLive and the rest of the gear we use.
Some tech tips from the live sound gurus
Definitely some in depth with Studio One
Some routing ideas
Equipment demos
Some tech time with the engineers to talk about what they had in mind (good way to build ideas for use)
Some time with the big dogs to bounce some ideas around about some future products (user inspired)

A big ol' glass of sweet tea, a ton of good southern hospitality. some story swapping, and some impromptu jam sessions.

I'm sure there are more but I'm too tired to think of them now.

Any chance we could move this over to Europe about three months later as well?

It's a pretty long road trip getting to Baton Rouge... I'm really feeling so left out at the moment, webcasts in the middle of the night. Having PreSonospheres in places I can't reach... awful, simply awful...

But I'll have my beers and chips ready to enjoy the show being broadcasted...

Yea I would love to go too but it's a long way from Australia!

Enjoy guys!
Focusrite 18i20. An '1818' that actually works as advertised and has great support!! But Presonus will continue the story it was all my systems and there is no hardware issue with the 1818 and the drivers are great.

Almost two years on and Presonus continues to say it's a 'top priority' but have no driver updates, make excuses and blame others (Intel, USB3 Microsoft, Apple and now the company that writes their drivers!) when other companies have it all working on the same systems!! And it so refreshing to get regular software updates and responsive and effective support!

And the 1818 does not have 'on-board DSP' as continues to be claimed.
