Substitute Command would be nice.

In SVP, I could select a MIDI note (or group of MIDI notes) and replace them with an audio file from the clipboard. I could (for example) replace a bunch of MIDI notes with a better kick drum sample. Looking through manual I didn't see a way to do this.

I could (of course), load the samples into a sample playback VSTi and assign them to the same MIDI note #, but the other way was so quick and easy.

I don't think this is possible as MIDI and audio data live in different track types and are not easily interchangable.

The idea is interesting, though ...
